Project Management is a skill that must be learned and refined like any other skill. It takes time and experience to become a good Project Manager, much longer to become a GREAT Project Manager, and I think sometimes ages to become the BEST in the Field of Project Mangement
Project Management is such an ever changing field of expertise that you will never be able to know everything there is to know about every Methodology available, the secret is to know enough about each Methodology to ensure you can apply and adapt the correct Methodology in any given situation.... There is not on preferred methodology that works every time (Contrary to what the Market Leaders tries to tell you), you have to be able to adapt your approach to the circumstances of the Project, THAT way you can successd, every time...
A Good Starting point though is to start reading our Introduction Pages and move from there, at MC Consulting we are not saying we have all the skills and knowledge to to make you a good Project Manager, but we have certainly been through our share of lessons learned over the last 12 years to allow us to share our experiences with you.
